audition announcement - PIPPIN - Greasepaint Youth Theatre - September 7 & 8

from our friends at Greasepaint:

On Wednesday and Thursday, September 7th and 8th, Greasepaint will hold auditions for its production of Pippin!

Directed by Beth Reynolds, Musical Direction by Curtis Moeller and Choreographer April Rozier.

Auditions will consist of 32 bars of music (your choice) Please bring sheet music for your song. There will be a short movement audition as well.

Readings and more choreography will be done at Callbacks which are scheduled for Saturday, Sept 10th  from 5 -9pm.

Heir to the Frankish throne, the young prince Pippin is in search of the secret to true happiness and fulfillment. He seeks it in the glories of the battlefield, the temptations of the flesh and the intrigues of political power (after disposing of his father, King Charlemagne the Great). In the end, though, Pippin finds that happiness lies not in extraordinary endeavors, but rather in the unextraordinary moments that happen every day.

Pippin would be rated PG-13.  Please be sure to ask to read the script or look up the content if you are unsure of its appropriateness for your actor under the age of 18.
