From our friends at Stray Cat Theatre -

STRAY CAT ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR THE TOMKAT PROJECT!

WHEN:
Sunday, March 8th - 12pm-4pm
(call backs will likely be Monday, March 9th at 6pm)

WHERE:
Tempe Performing Arts Center
(http://straycattheatre.org/location)

NEEDED:
4 M and 3 F
1 actor plays author/the plays narrator Brandon Ogborn only - late 20's, the real Brandon Ogborn is losing his hair. Doesn't mean you HAVE to be, but...
1 actor plays Tom Cruise only, he is around 50 but hardly looks it - any resemblance would be neat but not required. Any subtle impersonation would be neat but not required.
1 actor plays Katie Holmes only, early 30s - any resemblance would be neat but not required. Any subtle impersonation would be neat but not required.
2 M and 2 F actors play the remaining 50-plus roles. Actors with a knack for impression would be great - but impression skills are not necessary.
ALL actors must have killer comic timing. And we encourage actors with strong comedic timing of ALL ages and ALL ethnicities to consider auditioning.

WHAT TO PREPARE
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Please prepare:
1. The side you are sent. (This will be sent with your confirmation once you schedule your audition.)
2. Please come prepared with a short joke. The funniest one you know. Can be filthy or clean. But have a joke ready.
3. If you can do any celebrity impersonations, we may want to see them.

TO SCHEDULE AN AUDITION:
Please send an email with the following:
1. Your name
2. A contact number
3. Time you would like to audition (we will do our best to accomodate but make no promises.)

ABOUT
THE TOMKAT PROJECT
by Brandon Ogborn
April 24 - May 9, 2015
Directed by Louis Farber
Don’t expect a Hollywood ending.
A biting satire about the three-way marriage of Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and Scientology. Based on actual interviews and completely imagined scenes, seven actors portray 54 characters, including Oprah Winfrey, Matt Lauer, Josh Hartnett, Steven Spielberg, Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks, Jennifer Lopez, and, of course…Suri Cruise. Structured like THE LARAMIE PROJECT, THE TOMKAT PROJECT chronicles the Scientology saga and skewers our collective obsession with celebrity. "…radiates satire genius…In the realm of fringe theater, this show is a near-perfect achievement “ – Chicago Tribune
